NDIS Home Modifications Explained
Minor home modifications (MHM) are home modifications that don’t change the structural parts of the home or cost no more than $20,000. We will need an assessment from a suitably qualified occupational therapist on what changes to your home you need.
There are 2 categories of minor home modification:

What types of supports can’t be funded or provided under the NDIS?
Under the law for the NDIS, there are things that the NDIS can’t fund or provide. They can’t fund or provide supports that:
Are not legal
Are income replacement
Are likely to cause harm to you, or pose a risk to other people
Are not related to your disability
Relate to a ‘day-to-day living cost’, such as groceries, rent or utilities, that are not attributable to your disability support needs.
